Moving forward in our commitment to identifying young, emerging talent in the Black content universe, NBPC launches its "Race to Execution: Podcast Competition." This will be an initiative to celebrate the varied civic voices of talented young minds produced yearly by the historically black colleges and universities in America.
Students from HBCUs are invited to submit audio Podcasts with their take on the death penalty, youth activism in America, and the place of new media in the struggles surrounding today's civil rights and liberty issues. What do your campus colleagues think of the death penalty? What are your views -- outrageous, necessary, a moral obligation, cruel?
Subscribe today to the NBPC audio Podcast, "Speak Up!: Young, Gifted & Black In America."
'RACE TO EXECUTION" WILL PREMIERE ON PBS' INDEPENDENT LENS ON TUESDAY, MARCH 27th, 2007. VISIT THE OFFICIAL SITEFOR MORE DETAILS.
